BrisSizzle and Sounds is back for 2024! Following the huge success of the inaugural event at Victoria Park / Barrambin, the Trust invites you to save Saturday 11 May 2024 in your calendar for a free family day out with something for everyone.

This year we will have an incredible line up of local artists, delicious food trucks, kids activities including two sessions of the Bluey Live Interactive Experience as well as the opportunity to meet your favourite blue-heeler sisters!

Live Bands

Live music from local Brisbane artists Allora Band & Josh Nixon Music. Allora is an Indie-Rock band that creates a live atmosphere that is unforgettable. Josh Nixon plays a wide variety of songs from the 60’s to today, he is sure to keep the crowd on their toes.

Kids Activity Corner

Heaps of free activities for the kids including face painting, lawn games, sporting mini matches and the “Little Builders Program” where the little ones can have a hands on experience introducing simple woodworking skills facilitated by Little Green Thumb.

Food Trucks

All of your favourite Brisbane food trucks including delicious German sausages from Brat Haus, succulent gourmet burgers from Bill’s Burgers, Vietnamese street food from Rolls Pho Mi, sweet treats from Gelato a go-go, fresh juices from Juice Power and more!

Bluey Live on Stage

Wackadoo! Catch Bluey and her little sister Bingo  on stage for two Live Interactive Experiences at BrisSizzle and Sounds. Get ready to play Magic Asparagus, Magic Xylophone, Keepy Uppy and more!

Raffle Prizes

BrisSizzle and Sounds if offering an incredible raffle this year, with over $9000 worth of amazing prizes to be won! Funds raised from raffle sales will go directly towards supporting beneficiaries Foodbank QLD, DrugARM, and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.

Continuing the incredible legacy of “Brisbane’s Day of Giving”, this event will be raising much needed funds for Foodbank Queensland and Drug ARM

Foodbank Queensland is essentially the pantry to the charity sector! There are Australians going without every day and Foodbank are working hard to change that. Foodbank Queensland provides millions of kilograms of food and groceries to 350 front line charities and 300 school breakfast programs each year.

Funds donated from BrisSizzle and Sounds in 2023 helped provide enough essential food to create over 40,000 meals for Queenslanders experiencing food scarcity.

 

 

Drug ARM is a specialist charity organisation that supports people, families and communities to achieve positive transformations through awareness, rehabilitation and management of substance abuse issues.

The funds donated from BrisSizzle and Sounds in 2023 supported 43 patrols in Brisbane City and 172 hours of  Street Outreach Services. This funding assists Drug ARM’s volunteers address the complex and concerning issue of homelessness, and relieving the suffering and trauma of alcohol and drug abuse.

Parking Information

Free Event Parking available at the Sporting Fields via entry from Gilchrist Avenue between 9am – 3pm. Optional gold coin or card donations available on entry, supporting Foodbank Queensland, Drug ARM and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.

What to Bring

Make sure you bring along a hat, sunscreen, picnic rug, reusable water bottle & reusable coffee cup! What stations will be available throughout the event, as well as limited seating & shade umbrellas.

Dog Friendly

This event is dog friendly, however please ensure your four legged friends are on a leash at all times.

Bluey Meet and Greet

Please note that tickets are required for the Bluey Meet and Greet. Tickets are free and are available from Wednesday 1 May. One ticket allows up to six (6) people in total (adults or children) entry to the Bluey Meet and Greet. This ticket allows access to the meeting area once only at the designated time slot and is not transferable.
