Establishing "Small Steps 4 Hannah"
At the request of Hannah’s parents, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust is assisting the family to establish a charity called "Small Steps 4 Hannah" which honours Hannah’s legacy and addresses domestic violence.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust is collecting funds to establish the charity and its important work.
If you would like to donate to this cause, please visit our GoFundMe page "Establishing "Small Steps 4 Hannah".
Hannah's family thank you for your consideration and generosity.
For more than 50 years, the Trust’s fundraising efforts have improved the wellbeing of the most marginalised, vulnerable members of the Brisbane community.
Established in the 1960s, the Trust continues the good work of the Lord Mayor whose mission is to improve liveability for all Brisbane's residents.
The Trust works to support charities that assist people suffering from disability, homelessness, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction, trauma, abuse or neglect.
Every dollar donated to the Trust is re-given to those in need.
Corporate partners, community groups and individual benefactors can be confident donating to the Trust because of its ability to identify charities in genuine need of support.
Many corporate donors choose the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust because a single donation is distributed to many needy charities, taking away the hours of work needed to identify suitable philanthropic opportunities.
Donation of Residential Rate Discounts to Bushfire Relief
The 2019/20 bushfire season has been one of the worst on record for Australia.
For the April quarter, residential owner-occupier ratepayers can support bushfire relief by choosing to donate their $15 early payment discount to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.
Simply select the donation option when paying your rate account, and your $15 donation will be passed to the Trust for bushfire relief.
The Trust is a registered charity under the Collections Act 1966. Donations are tax deductible and a separate receipt will be issued by Council.
