TRUSTEES

Seven Trustees, including the Chairman, Lady Mayoress, Mrs Anne Quirk, form the board for the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust under the governance of a Trust Deed.

Since assuming the role of Chairman, Anne Quirk has been working hard to improve awareness about the Trust as well as the plight of those less fortunate in Brisbane.  A driving force behind the good work that the Trust does, Anne is passionate about working with the Trustees to set the strategy and the vision for the Trust to ensure that we help those most in need in Brisbane.  She is keen to work with all sorts of Charities in Brisbane, to raise their profiles, acknowledge the important work that they do and support them as they work to support Brisbane's most marginalised.

 

Cr Adam Allan

Councillor for Northgate Ward
Brisbane City Council

Councillor Adam Allan was elected to Council at the 2016 Brisbane City Council elections. Councillor Allan has a strong interest in local community and sporting groups and has a particular interest in social finance and bringing communities together. He is in regular contact with local community groups, sporting clubs, community service providers and special interest groups.

He previously had a successful career in banking and consulting having worked in Australia and a number of overseas locations. This has given him the opportunity to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds. His experience overseas has also given him valuable insights into how other cities have grown and developed.

Councillor Allan holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a number of other professional qualifications. Councillor Allan is married with three children and lives in Wavell Heights.

   
 
Trisha Ford

Trisha is a director of Yellow Cabs Queensland. For a number of years she was on the Queensland selection panel for the Miss Australia Awards. She was also a contributor to the set-up of the well-known boardroom Blitz, another fundraising event for the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland.

Trisha retired from her position as Owner-Manager of the Logan Depot of Yellow Cabs at the end of 1999, after 20 years. This has allowed her time to assist in other areas of her family's businesses, plus have time to involve herself in charitable causes. In her working career and since, she has successfully organised functions for work, recreation and charity, meeting many generous like-minded people who share a common interest in the welfare of those less fortunate.

 

Pip McConnel-Oats

Pip McConnel-Oats is Executive Group Manager and Creative Director at Rowland, a communication, digital and creative agency and has more than 20 years’ design experience specialising in brand strategy, identity and brand management for national and multi-national organisations.

In 2002, Pip established Lumino, one of Brisbane’s best known brand consultancies before merging with Rowland in 2012.

Pip is passionate about creating, reviving, and nurturing brands and has developed many brands for a diverse range of clients across a broad range of industry sectors. She has been involved in providing pro bono creative services to many charities and not-for-profit organisations in her 20 year career and enjoys helping these organisations tell their stories through compelling visual communication.

She is a Fellow of the Design Institute of Australia (Queensland), a DIA Accredited Designer™, Professional member, Australian Graphic Design Association and former State Councillor, DIA Queensland branch.

 

 

Allan Pidgeon

F A Pidgeon & Son Pty Ltd

After completing degrees in Commerce and Law, Allan gained experience as a tax accountant and stock-broker. He is now a Director of the family property business F A Pidgeon & Son Pty Ltd.

Among other community involvements, Allan is president of the Australian National Flag Association, and is also a Director of the Mater Hospital foundation.


 

Patrice Sherrie

Bentleys

Patrice is a Director of Bentleys, and has over three decades' experience in chartered accounting and commerce. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of company Directors.

Patrice is also a Treasurer on the University of Queensland's council for the Women's college and a member of the External Advisory Group for QUT's Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation. She has also held Board roles for Multicap, The Queensland Abattoir Corporation and the Queensland Conservation Society.

In her spare time Patrice is a keen cyclist, and regularly takes part in charity rides.

 

 

 Pip Hold

City Administration and Governance

Pip Hold was appointed to the position of Divisional Manager, City Administration and Governance in 2014. Prior to this, Pip spent almost 5 years as Manager of the Lord Mayor’s Administration Office.

During this time, Pip has been heavily involved in the Trust in a behind the scenes role and is looking forward to continue this contribution in her role as a Trustee.

Pip provides strategic direction and leadership for the Chief Executive's Office. She also discharges the responsibilities formerly discharged by the Town Clerk as outlined in previous legislation and under Local Laws.

Pip joined Council in 2009 as the International Relations Manager. Prior to this, Pip had a wide ranging career in Federal and State (South Australia) Government.
