Lady Mayoress Australia Day Auction in Partnership with Devine Ltd

In 2006 the Lord Mayor's Community Trust signed a letter of intent to enter into a partnership with Devine Ltd to raise funds. On Australia Day 2007 this partnership was realised with the first Lady Mayoress Australia Day Auction Appeal.
In its first year, the appeal raised $521,000 which will be given to Australia's first Centre for Young People, located in the inner city of Brisbane. The centre is currently being built and will be completed in 2009.
This partnership has become an annual commitment and in 2008 the event partners - Divine Ltd, Channel Ten and Triple M - will host the second Australia Day Auction on Saturday 26 January at Lot 123, Wandera Court, Redbank Plains. Funds raised this year will directly support sustainable projects which assist young people in real need to find and secure their future.
This year the organisations nominated to benefit from the appeal campaign are:
Life Education Bayside Adolescent Boarding Inc. Abused Child's Trust Teen Challenge
